Thoughts While Sitting in a Fishing Boat at the end of August

1. It would be interesting to see this prairie lake like an aquarium. See where all of the fish are and what they're doing, where and what the vegetation is, where the underwater hills and valleys are. 

2. This could be the last nice day of fishing this summer. Soaking in the details to remember when winter comes; clear blue sky, verdant green hills in the distance, waves rocking the boat, strong arms keeping the boat on course, light hearted banter between fishing buddies, shore lunch on an endgate.

3. It would be fun to have grandchildren with us. 

4. That lake water looks cold. I wouldn't want to fall in.

5. I can't believe the big walleye I caught!
