Wow, the growing season at Whispering Pines flew by this year. Seems like summer was no more than a blip on the calendar. It's a good thing that so many vegetables and grains can be grown in a narrow window. North Dakota helps feed the world in three short months! On Sunday Lenny plowed up the remainders of the garden, churning under the vines and roots to become fertilizer for next year's crop.
Only the magnificent pumpkin patch remains!
In a week or two we'll gather them up and spread autumn cheer to family, friends, and maybe a few strangers!
