Daisy Goes for a Boat Ride

It was a beautiful day on Saturday, with turquoise blue skies, temps in the 70's, and a light breeze. Lenny wanted to take the boat out for one last time to run Stabil (whatever that is) through the engine before putting it to rest for the winter. It was a perfect day for the final run of the summer. When Lenny got the boat all hooked up to the truck and I had filled my travel cup with coffee for the trip, Daisy gave us sad eyes because she figured she was going to be left behind. That was not to be. Lenny told her to get in the truck and she wagged her puff of a tail happily and jumped in. She went to sleep after sniffing around at my Subway Melt Sandwich and slept most of the way to Lake Audabon. When we got to the lake she jumped out of the truck and headed for the dock. She was goin' for a ride on that boat! Lenny backed the boat into the water, I pulled the trailer out of the water and parked the truck. Meanwhile, Daisy jumped in the boat and ran around to explore her new space. I've seen lifejackets for dogs, but I have to say we didn't have one for her on this trip. Oh well... she trusted the captain of the ship.

She had the ride of her life...........and loved it!
