Summer Synopsis

This morning I stepped out the door and felt the shiver of a temperature shift. I went back to grab my fleece jacket out of the hall closet. Fall was starting to push out summer. There are so many good memories of Summer 2010. Here are a few of the best:

Sam graduates from Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary at the end of May.

Lenny goes on a 2300 mile Harley Bike trip with his good friend, Wally.

Sister Maureen and her family visit from Colorado.

Riding the tube on the 4th of July!

Gage and Sadie visit for a week-end and enjoy a trip to the zoo.

Jammin' to KISS at the North Dakota State Fair.

The Thomas Family Reunion was a much planned for and long-awaited celebration of family heritage.

Sam, Sophia, and Parker; David and Jenilee come at the end of August to add a grand finale to the summer.

Wow, summer is intense! Every week-end is packed with possible activities. Especially in North Dakota where winter lasts so long and is so incredibly cold. Because of that our summers are manic with activity. I welcome the cooler temps and earlier evenings so I can slow down and catch up to myself. I'm already looking through quilting books and magazines and dreaming about possible projects. We had meat balls and gravy for supper last night and nothing says a season change like meat balls and gravy!
