OK, it's been a rough week. You know the old wive's tale about death happening in three's? Well, this was the week. I don't need to elaborate, but it's made my list of sweet, simple things all the more poignant.
Here goes:
1. Going out to the mail box and finding a Mother's Day card from each of my sons.
2. Laughing hysterically with my 2 sisters and my mom.
3. A McDonald's QuarterPounder and French Fries.
4. An unexpected overpaid escrow rebate check. (Flowers, I'm going to buy flowers!)
5. Getting off work an hour early on Friday and taking a nap, covered up with a cozy quilt.
