The News from Whispering Pines

Mr.and Mrs. Darrel Loftesnes motored into Minot on Sunday evening to have supper with Mr. and Mrs. Lenard Brewer. Mrs. Andrew Loftesnes had returned from wintering in Colorado and was in attendance, as well. Mrs. Brewer whet everyone's appetite with an artichoke dip served with the delicious chokecherry wine Mrs. Loftesnes brought. Mr. Brewer's ribs were cooked to perfection on the barbecue grill. Mrs. Darrel Loftesnes' buns were enjoyed by all. A lemon chiffon cake made by Mrs. Andrew Loftesnes topped off the meal. The ladies retired to the front room to visit while the men went to the basement to watch TV. An enjoyable evening was had by all.

{Post-script: Our 1 and 7/8 acre piece of the earth has been named "Whispering Pines" by Lenny's sister, Sharon. She saw pictures of our property and immediately pronounced it's name. We agreed!}

  1. That old lady in the red vest should sit up straight and she wouldn't look so old. Maybe you should "screen" guests pics b-4 posting. Then again, the look of that guest goes with the "vernacular of the reporting of the event"! Thanks for sharing your writings. LML
