Ten Things I Enjoyed on this Rainy Day
1. I woke up too early but sat in my chair in the living room and fell back to sleep listening to the sound of rain patter on the window.
2. Read for awhile, "The Dance of Anger" by Harriet Lerner. Very insightful. I don't recall being interviewed for her book, but she knows me.
3. Looked forward to how green the yard is going to be when the sun comes out. (Mowing, anyone?)
4. So happy for the plants I have put out. Rain water is to plants what breast milk is to babies.
5. For some reason I love wearing my rain coat. Its a pretty mint green color and has lots of pockets.
6. A rainy day is a good time to light a candle. My dear, devoted readers will know that candles delight and comfort me. They don't fit well indoors when its daylight until 10 PM, but they're perfect on a rainy day.
7. Lenny and I went to a movie. We don't often do that and it was fun. We even held hands and I let him kiss me. And I ate too much buttered popcorn.
8. No guilt whatsoever about staying inside and reading.
9. Lenny put a pot roast in the crock pot for supper. Smells heavenly!
10. Sunday night snuggling under the covers all warm and cozy while the chilly rain pours down outside. Thinking or talking about Monday morning not allowed.

It all sounds so nice. I also like rainy days. They just seem to take off a lot of the pressure.
