Dear Diary, It's been such a good day. It finally felt spring-like. Lenny got out the John Deere and tooled around the yard. That's a sure sign of spring! I hung our winter sheets out on the line this morning after washing. Can't wait to go to bed tonight and fill my lungs with the smell of life renewed as I snuggle in. I'm quite sure it will be a good night's sleep. We went to Menard's to get lawn bags and I was drawn to the plants in the garden section. I didn't get away without buying a strawberry plant, a potted purple pansy pot, and a climbing clematis. They will stay inside with us for several nights. It's still too cold at night for their sensitive selves. We must protect them. Funny how as I age, I feel more protective of life of any kind. If that's one of the signs of turning into Wise Woman, I'm more than willing to embrace it! Not so thrilled about the wrinkles and joint aches. I'm guessing we don't get to pick and choose. Just maybe it's the wrinkles and joint aches that help make me wise.
