6. Stores have deep discounts on winter clothing, which I'm still wearing. Most years in the spring I'm not at all interested in wool sweaters or flannel pajamas even if they are dirt cheap.

5. Our garbage in the garage waiting for pick up day doesn't stink, it's frozen. The beer and Diet Coke stay cold out there, as well.  Saves room in the fridge.
