The News From Whispering Pines

It's been a pretty good day. I had the day off from my job, which is a real treat. After a hearty breakfast of oatmeal with plump, juicy raisins, a tall glass of orange juice, and a cup of coffee-press coffee I headed out for an exercise session at Curves. I really dislike exercising--I'd almost rather go to the dentist for a filling. But I feel so proud of myself when I'm done. The caveat is that I'm never done. Won't be done until my body shuts down, and I'm told that the better shape I'm in, the longer my body will last! I guess that's a good thing. Next on my chore list was a trip to the DMV to have my driver's liscense renewed. Their office is is the middle of one of the zones that had massive destruction from the flood last summer. As I drove through the streets I was thrilled to see the progress being made on rebuilding heavily damaged homes and businesses. It's been especially helpful that construction has not had to slow down because of winter weather, we haven't had any! The DMV office was completely remodeled and now even has comfortable chairs to sit in while I waited my turn. Now I don't need to show up there for another 8 years. I wonder if my head shot will have changed much? I'm sure it will have, as no matter how much I exercise my face keeps falling into my neck!
