The News From Whispering Pines

This past week-end, Mr. and Mrs. Brewer motored to Fargo, ND to see the home that Mrs. Brewer's son, David and his wife, Jenilee had recently purchased. The trip down I-94 flew by as the roads were dry and smooth and the landscape was brillliantly colored with the golds, yellows, and red shades of autumn. Following a full tour of the Kanenwisher's house and yard the group decided to do some shopping. David and Jenilee needed some household items and Mrs. Brewer wanted to look at shoes. They stopped at the neighborhood hardware store (they still exist!) and Mrs. Brewer was surprised to learn that David was already on a first name basis with the home maintenance guy. Good to have as a friend when you're a first time home-owner!
(Mrs. Brewer found some shoes, but not in her size. She will be checking with Zappos.)

Relaxing in their living room after making a fabulous breakfast of bacon and eggs with toast and orange slices for their overnight guests.

As Monday is a work-day, by mid-morning the Brewers were headed back west on the highway toward home. It was a short visit, but worth every minute as the purchase of one's first home is an exciting event and the Brewers were thrilled to share in that excitement.
