On Monday I took the Oncology Nurse Certification Exam, again. I beleive this is the 4th time I've taken the test as certification is required every 4 years. The first time I took the exam was in Minneapolis. It was at a local college in a room full of nurses at long tables. We marked ovals on a peice of paper with a No. 2 pencil. It took 4-6 weeks to get the pass or fail results. This time I went to a testing center in Bismarck and sat alone in a cubicle with a computer. The results were instantaneous. I had to remove most of my jewelry before entering the testing area. Not sure why; guess my Black Hills Gold bracelet could've been a satellite receptor for test answers. I'm surprised they didn't check my palms, I've heard that's where Sarah Palin keeps her notes!
(BTW: I passed!)
When I tested for the CBCN they made me turn my pockets inside out! They had different rules for different tests. Some people DID have to do palm prints!
