The Magnificent

Usually my "magnificent" posts are about our grandchildren. This time the magnificent is me!
I trained for and finished the 10K at the Fargo Marathon. Pretty good for a couch potato. I'm not athletic by any stretch of the imagination and I hate exercise. I'd rather sit and read, quilt, do needle work, beading; any sedentary activity. So I'm pretty pleased with myself for getting off my a**. It wasn't always easy.
Precious Eliza and her parents showed up at several places along the route to cheer me on.
Elvis was there, as well.
It was good to know the end was near.
When I crossed the finish line David and Lenny were there to greet me and bring me water.
Water has never tasted so good. At that point it was more important than the medal!

The only thing I need for next year is a cuter spandex outfit...
