Sweet, Simple Things

1. Pleasant surprise- really enjoying a book that was randomly picked out for me by my husband at a Convenience Store. (I could be called a "book snob" as I usually stick to authors I know I'll like.) It's fun to discover new authors and Mr. Preston is one I will certainly read more of.


2. The only thing I need to do tonight is make supper--no place to go and no urgent demands on my time.

3. I enjoy a good joke and I heard several last night at a community variety show. This is one I liked the best: A little boy and his Grandpa were out fishing together. The boy said to his Grandpa, "Grandpa, can you make a sound like a frog?" , "Sure", his Grandpa said, "Why do you ask?" "Because Grandma said if you croak we can go to Disneyland."

4. Spring catalogs are starting to show up in my mailbox. And you, my dear readers, know how much I love perusing catalogs. That's one of the great things about the four seasons-- it means four times a year I get a new crop of catalogs!

5. Sweet memories of cuddling with Parker just a week ago.
