The News From Whispering Pines

This past week-end Mr. and Mrs. Brewer motored to the Black Hills of South Dakota to celebrate Mrs. Brewer's 55th birthday with family members. Motoring down from Fargo, ND to join them were Shane and Lisa Brewer and their two children, Gage and Sadie. Also arriving from Fargo were David and Jenilee Kanenwisher. Sam and Sophia Kanenwisher and Parker arrived by plane from California. The weather cooperated and all arrived on time with no cancellations or delays due to bad weather or roads.

As there was plenty of snow the group was able to participate in various winter sport activities ranging from sledding, to skiing, to snowmobiling.

In the evenings the family group enjoyed visiting and playing games. Gramma Pamma was a good sport and joined the children in a rousing game of "Pin the Tail on the Donkey".

After the children were put to bed the adults had much laughter and hilarity with the games, "Pictionary", and "CatchPhrase." (Mrs. Brewer kept the wine flowing!)

Sunday night was the grand finale of the week-end. Mrs. Pam Brewer's birthday was celebrated in high style with a banquet put on by her daughters-in law of pulled pork sandwiches, various and assorted chips and dips, potato salad, carrots and pickles, and beans. For the birthday cake they put candles in cheesecake, which just happens to be Mrs. Brewer's favorite dessert.

The family pronounced the week-end a success of fun, relaxation, and bonding.

On Monday morning as the group packed up and went their seperate ways it was decided unanimously that planning would begin soon for the next Brewer/Kanenwisher gathering.
