The News from Whispering Pines

With a cool breeze blowing and temperatures in the upper 70's, Mr. and Mrs. Brewer decided it was a perfect evening to attend the North Dakota State Fair. They went after work and had their supper at the fair as Mrs. Brewer was determined to have her yearly foot long corn dog. She wasn't dissapointed. With an icy cold glass of freshly squeezed lemonade it was the perfect fair meal.

With full stomachs they proceeded to check out the Exhibit Hall, which was filled to the brim with everything from home baked goodies to photography to fresh garden vegetables to needlework and quilts. It was an impressive array of North Dakota creativity, talent, and hard work.

As luck would have it they ran into Mrs. Brewer's neice, Whitney, who is working at the fair as a marketing student intern. She was selling fair souvenir cold drink coozies, 1 for $3.00 or 2 for $5.00. Mrs. Brewer purchased 2 of them.

A night out at the fair isn't complete without a stroll down the Midway. The carnival workers tried hard, but couldn't convince Mr. Brewer to throw darts at balloons to win Mrs. Brewer a giant stuffed animal. She had to settle for her photo in front of the Care Bear!

They called it an early night as both Mr. and Mrs. Brewer require a good night's sleep to function well at work. A fantastic time was had at the 2010 State Fair!
