The News from Whispering Pines

Week-end guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Brewer were two of their grandchildren, Gage and Sadie Brewer. As Gage is 4 years old and Sadie is 2, the Brewer household was an active and busy place. On Saturday afternoon the group took in the Roosevelt Park Zoo. The weather was perfect for walking around and looking at the animals. Not too hot, with a nice breeze. They got there just when it was snack time for the giraffes. Gage was excited when he and Grandpa got to feed one of the giraffes!

The group took a break on a park bench before riding on the merry-go-round.

After the trip to the zoo everyone was ready for a Dairy Queen treat!

Sunday morning the Brewer's had the pleasure of having brunch with David and Jenilee Kanenwisher who were visiting from Fargo. Then the week-end was over all too soon. After brunch Mr. and Mrs. Brewer and the children motored to Grand Forks. Gage and Sadie's parents were there to take them home to Fargo after a romp in the Playland at Burger King. The car ride home to Whispering Pines was quiet. Mr. and Mrs. Brewer talked about how much they enjoyed having the children visit. They hope they didn't teach the children any bad habits, although they may have spoiled them just a bit!
