After dinner entertainment was provided by Whitney, who brought a game called "Things". Much laughter and hilarity followed as the players had to answer questions and then guess who gave which answer. Scrorekeeping became confused so no winner was announced, but the game was pronounced a success as all had a good time. The Loftesnes family left early as dangerous winter weather was stirring outside. Christmas Eve services were not attended as the group did not wish to venture out in the weather. Mr. and Mrs. Brewer and Mrs. Loftesnes ended the evening relaxing by a blazing fire in the basement fireplace.

Christmas Eve at Whispering Pines
Family members braved blizzard conditions to descend on Whispering Pines for Christmas Eve Dinner. In attendance for the festive meal were Mrs. Lucille Loftesnes, Darrel and Teresa Loftesnes and family: Wade, Whitney, Loren, and Loren's girlfriend, Rosita, and Pam and Lenny Brewer. A delicious ham meal was served by Mrs. Brewer. Mr. Brewer prepared a venison roast which proved to be a delicious addition to the table. Side dishes were scalloped corn, wild rice casserole, vegetable tray, and potatoes and gravy. For dessert, Mrs. Brewer opted for simplicity. Chocolate Mint ice cream was served with Christmas cookies. Various wines accompanied the meal.
