Following a dessert of apple pie, the table was cleared and all were entertained with Loren showing slides of his recent trip to Japan. He and his girlfriend, Rosita, spent a week touring Tokoyo and the surrounding area. All were quite enthralled with the photos of exotic foods and stunning scenery. Loren told interesting stories of their experiences and said they fell in love with the Japanese culture and way of life and hope to visit again as soon as possible. The evening ended early as the latter had to rise early the next morning to catch the 5AM plane back to Minneapolis. A good time was had by all.

The News from Whispering Pines
Sunday evening Teresa Loftesnes made a delicious turkey dinner with all the trimmings in honor of their son, Loren, who had flown in from Minneapolis to visit his parental home. He and his father spent the week-end together in a deer stand and, word has it, they had success at their hunt.
Other guests at this celabratory meal included Whitney Loftesnes and her boyfriend, Eli; Gloria and Gary Lenton; and Pam and Lenny Brewer. Mrs. Brewer carried in a colorful and tasty relish tray served with a ranch dressing dip. Mrs. Lenton provided a bottle of North Dakota's own Blackberry Wine. The meal was much enjoyed by all as the good food was accompanied by laughter and conversation.
