On Sunday Lenny and I went ice fishing at the same lake that we occasionally go to in the summer for fishing. It's only the second time I've fished through a hole in the the ice. (I've yet to catch my first "ice fish".)
Lenny digs the holes.
It's a strange feeling to drive a vehicle and walk on ice where there was a big, deep lake a few months ago. Water and ice are so different! It's something I've never given much thought to, but sitting by a hole for hours waiting for a fish gets a person to thinking about many, many things! It's fascinating, actually. The fact that fish can live below the ice. I guess that's because reptiles are cold-blooded. Humans are the only species that need to wear clothes. Why is that? You can see how my mind rambled and questions came tumbling one after another. It was too cold to take my gloves off and "Google" some answers!
It was a good day, but I think I'd rather float on the water in a boat.
I'm wondering, after sitting on your legs like that in the cold all day, were you able to stand up on your own? You look like a teenager sitting there all limber and all!
