Blizzard Blues (and reds)

We're in the middle of a humdinger North Dakota blizzard.  Not so much snow, but a strong wind and blowing snow. It's Sunday so that lessens the impact on schools and businesses.

It's brutal.  I watch the horses in the pasture behind our house, shiver and pull my sweater tighter. I've been assured by horse people that as long as they have piles of hay for feed, they're content. But I can't help it, I feel bad for them. I'd rather watch them in the spring, when they're frolicking in the long grass.  Lenny and I spent the day painting the hall bathroom. We decided we wanted some color in our house. The bleak and barren winter has that effect on me. We took the color plunge and painted the walls turquoise and the ceiling red.
The wall color is not accurate in this picture, but you get the idea of the red ceiling.  We haven't yet decided on wall accents.  We're open to ideas!  This is what happens during a North Dakota blizzard.  Some people make babies. Lenny and I paint and make  color!
