The News From Whispering Pines
Sunday after All Saint's Day church services Mr. and Mrs. Brewer motored out to Norwich to the home of Darrel and Teresa Loftesnes, Mrs. Brewer's brother and sister-in-law. They had been invited out to an early Thanksgiving Dinner, the occasion being the return home of Loren Loftesnes, son of Darrel and Teresa. He resides in San Fancisco, near the Golden Gate Bridge, and returns to his parental home in the fall of the year to partake in the annual deer hunt with his father. His lovely girlfriend, Rosita, was in attendance as well. Teresa had prepared a holiday meal with all the trimmings and the meal was enjoyed by all. Also present at the table were Gloria and Gary Lenton and Ardy Stevens. Dinner conversation centered around Loren and Rosita telling stories of their recent trip to Greece, Italy, and France. All at the table were mesmerized by descriptions of the beautiful scenery, the variety of foods they experienced, and the funny tales of their inevitable travel mishaps and adventures.
