The First and the Last

As my dear readers may recall, this was my garden's first bloom last April, a purple crocus.
Purple blossoms must be most hardy because this purple pansy is still in full bloom on November 3rd, after multiple frosty nights.
Five months isn't so long to wait for another blossom, is it? I'm wondering which plant will spring forth first. Chances are good it will be purple!
