Sunday night Mr. and Mrs. Brewer motored out to the Lucille Loftesnes farm to partake in the celebration of Mr. Darrel Loftesnes' birthday. Darrel, being the younger brother of Mrs. Brewer by just 14 months, will have his actual birthday on the 19th. Mrs. Ardy Stevens, Mrs. Teresa Loftesnes, and Whitney Loftesnes were in attendance as well. Lucille served a delicious meal of BBQ pork, garlic mashed potatoes, buttered carrots, home made bread, pickled beets, and a garden salad. Guests remarked on how colorful the entrees were as each plate was a veritable rainbow of foods. Dessert was not a surprise as it's been the same for the past 54 years of Darrel's life--German Chocolate Cake! It's his favorite and his mother never fails to serve up huge slices with coconut butterscotch frosting and home made ice cream. Mrs. Brewer posing with the guest of honor.
