Sweet, Simple Things

My list this week is about grandchildren. I have 2 step-grandchildren and am expecting my very own grandson this week. Hurrah! Sometimes life is so good, it's scares me. So, the sweet, simple things are:





1. Celebrating Sadie Ann Brewer's very first birthday on a beautiful August day.



2. Celebrating with 3 year old Gage as he sheds diapers and wears big boy underwear.

3. Knowing that baby boy Kanenwisher is waiting to finish up his "inside job" so he'll arrive plump and healthy.

4. Watching our children be parents; the diligent and meticulous way they approach child-rearing, besides having fun! (I wish I would've known as much.)

5. The giddy anticipation I feel--waiting for the phone call telling me that Sophia is in labor!
