Country Lane

I pulled out of the fast track for a few hours and caught these photos on a peaceful country lane. Rainbows are always a sign to me. This particular rainbow was a sign that I'd made a good choice to veer into slower territory for awhile.

It's good to be reminded from time-to-time that my soul and spirit need quiet and calm to be renewed.

Wild flowers can't be rushed. They grow and bloom and die in their own time. They have no deadlines, no timetables, no growth and development charts, no job performance evaluations. Their only job is to be pretty and attract attention. "Showing up" is their speciality. And they do that with magnificence!

These animals graze without a thought of how much snow there might be this winter. They don't lay awake wondering how they're going to find food under 10 feet of snow!

Now to go back to my life and remember the lessons learned on a Country Lane.
