I've had a tough time thinking of joyful things this week. We haven't had any real sunshine for a long time. People, in general, seem grumpy and ornery. (Maybe it's me.) However, I managed to come up with this list and actually felt my heart lift a notch with gratitude!
1. The communication that is possible with today's technology. This week, I've heard from my neice who is studying in Peru and from my sister visiting in China. It's amazing and in many ways, miraculous.
2. Finishing the quilt I started 2 and 1/2 years ago as a wedding gift for David and Jenna Lee. (It will be their 2nd anniversary in August!)
3. Listening to a patient tell of the happiness he felt while planting a garden with his wife.
4. A cinnamon raisin bagel in the morning.
5. Loretta Lynn singing, "Stand By Your Man", on my I-Pod. (I love that song.)
