Wild Week-end

Lenny and I really whooped it up this week-end. On Saturday morning we drove out to the Memorial Cafe in Granville. Donna makes the BEST pancakes! Aunt Ardy met us there for a cup of coffee and a sweet visit. As luck would have it the annual City-Wide Garage Sale was being held. After breakfast we puttered around the town and explored most of what was for sale. We did end up with a few treasures.

I found a sturdy wood quilting hoop and a blow up globe. Who doesn't need a blow up globe?! Lenny paid 50 cents for a book about the sinking of the Bismarck. Most of the quilting hoops I've had are very flimsy and they snap in pieces quite easily. This one is hard wood. It says 'Made in Ohio' so I think it was made for Amish women. They know how to quilt! Good find.

On Sunday we took a drive about 80 miles north of Minot to Mouse River State Park.

Neither of us had been there before. We thought it would be a fun place to visit. We weren't disappointed. It's a cute little park nestled in a valley with the Mouse River wrapping around the campground. We had lunch at a cafe on the grounds. The cheeseburger wrap was delicious!

So that was our wild week-end..I wonder what next week-end will bring and if we can handle it!
