The REAL Thing

Winter took a hike this week and turned into spring. What a welcome relief! I've been through two bottles of Vitamin D since October to make my body think it's getting sunshine. But there is nothing like the real thing. Pills just aren't a substitute for the true medicine of sunshine that penetrates the cells. If you're like me and and look for signs that the seasons are changing, I have a few photos to share that left no doubt in my mind that Vitamin D filled days are coming.

Eliza made a hat to mark the First Day of Spring. Isn't she adorable?! This girl is a ray of sunshine, herself!

David's birthday is always on or near the First Day of Spring.

I have tiny purple irises popping up in my front garden. So glorious to see color where a snow bank sat just a week ago.

Steak on the grill and the first bon-fire of the season. It does not get any better than this! (That's our garden he's sitting on--hopefully in a month or so it will be full of tiny seeds.)
