This past week-end found Mr. and Mrs. Brewer quite busy attending various activities and attending to fall chores around Whispering Pines. Besides cleaning out flower gardens and putting up Christmas lights, the couple found time to attend the season opener of the Minot State University Lady Beavers. Mrs. Brewer's niece, Whitney, is once more on the starting line-up for the team. As she is now a senior, this will be her last year to wear the Red and Green. Saturday night the team hosted Montana State University-Northern from Havre, Montana. The Beavers led most of the game, however in the last 5 minutes things became exciting as the Montana team came within a few points and looked as if they could take over the win. But it was not to be. Minot State came out on top. Whitney thrilled the crowd with several 3 point shots from far out on the perimeter of the court. Amazing!
The week-end concluded on Sunday evening with Mr. and Mrs. Brewer motoring out to Norwich to the Darrel and Teresa Loftesnes residence to partake in an early Thanksgiving Dinner. Son, Loren, had come from his work in San Francisco to visit his parental home and participate in the annual deer hunt with his father, Mr. Darrel Loftesnes. Also in attendance was Mr. Stanley Hillerud, uncle of Mrs. Brewer and Mr. Loftesnes. A delicious turkey dinner with all the fixings was prepared by Mrs. Teresa Loftesnes and enjoyed by all.
(The author of this post, Mrs. Pam Brewer, is having technical difficulties and is unable to post photos at this time. Apologies go out to her dear readers.)
