The News from Whispering Pines

The Brewer house was filled to the brim on Sunday evening as relatives from far and near gathered for Sunday Night Supper. Sam, Sophia, and Parker Kanenwisher had flown in just that afternoon from California. Mrs. Brewer's cousin, Mark Stevens and his wife, Paula were visiting from Texas and accompanied Mark's mother, Ardy to the Brewer home. Also in attendance were Lucille Loftesnes, Darrel and Teresa Loftesnes and Teresa's sister, Judy, and her son Brad. Mr. Brewer cooked burgers on the grill and Mrs. Brewer fixed Western Beans and a delicious shrimp salad with basamati rice. Ardy Stevens brought home grown corn on the cob which was boiled and served with salt and butter. Lucille brought sweet red tomatoes from her garden. Dessert was from a box--ice cream sandwiches, which were perfect for a hot August night.

Mr. Parker Kanenwisher enjoyed his supper as much or more than anyone!

An enjoyable evening was had by all.
