The News from Whispering Pines

On Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Brewer motored to Fargo to visit Pam's son, David, and to help their grandson, Gage, celebrate his 4th birthday. It was a whirlwind trip for them as there was so much to do and so little time. Pam, David, and David's wife, Jenilee took in a movie at the historic Fargo Theatre in downtown Fargo. The movie was, "The Girl with the Dragon Tatoo", a Swedish film with English subtitles. It was a real treat for Mrs. Brewer; as the movie was great, the popcorn tasty and the company superb. Following the movie the threesome gathered at Babb's CoffeeHouse to have a snack and discuss the movie. Both David and Jenilee had read the book as well, so an enlightening discussion ensued.

Next on the agenda for the Brewer's was the birthday party. Gage had requested his party be held at Chucky Cheese so that's where it was! It brought back fond memories to Mrs. Brewer of long ago when parties for her own children were held there. (OK, not so fond, she never really liked the place, but the children loved it.)

It proved to be a wild time with many excited and happy children eating pizza, playing games, and getting hugs from Chucky Cheese.

Mr. and Mrs. Brewer returned home on Monday with a little time left to plant a few flowers before night fell. They will both return to their jobs on Tuesday and are already looking forward to next week-end!

  1. Thanks for the movie and conversation!

Looks like someone had fun at Chucky Cheese... even if it was not the author of this blog.
