This past week-end Mr. and Mrs. Brewer motored to the Black Hills of South Dakota to attend MSU Women's basketball games in Spearfish and Rapid City. A mini family reunion was held as Maureen and Del Lang, daughters Devan and Kelsey (with boyfriend, Brian), and Mrs. Lucille Loftesnes motored up from Colorado Springs to attend the games also. Darrel and Teresa Loftesnes were in attendance, as well. The games proved to be very exciting with a loss by 3 points on Friday night and a win by 1 point on Saturday. Whitney performed with her usual intensity and the family made quite a lot of noise from the bleachers hollering and cheering on the team. There were several mistakes made by the referees, however, and Mrs. Lucille Loftesnes was heard to be telling them so. After the game on Friday night, the family went out to eat at a local restaurant and then motored back to Deadwood where they were staying at Cadillac Jack's Hotel and Casino.
Mr. Brewer tried out his luck at a slot machine that promised him a Harley --all he had to do was hit the jackpot! He was not seen pulling a Harley home, however.

Sunday morning saw the group reluctantly parting ways to return to their respective homes. The week-end was pronounced a fabulous success. One and all stated it was a jackpot week-end even if Mr. Brewer didn't win the Harley! There's always next year.
