Week-end guests at Whispering Pines were Mr. Lenny Brewer's oldest son, Shane, his wife Lisa, and their two children, Gage and Sadie. Also accompanying them on the car trip from Fargo was Nathan, Mr. Brewer's younger son. With the ages of the children being 3 and 1, it was a very active 3 days in the Brewer household. Friday night Mr. Brewer braved the below zero temperatures and grilled his speciality, BBQ Ribs, outside on the charcoal grill. They were enjoyed by all, the adults getting as messy with BBQ sauce as did the children. Evening entertainment was bowling on the Wii. It was quite exciting as 3 year old Gage became the champion, with none of the adults coming close to his Pro Status score.
Saturday morning Mr. Brewer cooked deer sausage and eggs for the family which was enjoyed by all. Mrs. Brewer had a hair appointment at the Beauty Shop so was unable to participate in the meal preparation or cleanup.
In the afternoon, the group traveled to North Hill Bowl and played a few games of real, live bowling. Fun and revelry ensued as the Brewer men are quite competitive when it comes to sports. After the children had their naps, Gage helped Mrs. Pam Brewer bake a German Chocolate Cake for his daddy's 33rd birthday, which is on Monday.

Saturday evening the family enjoyed spaghetti and meatballs accompanied by cheesy garlic bread and a tray of fresh vegies.
Sunday morning Sadie was up and in her chair early for breakfast.
Uncle Nathan entertained Sadie as her parents gathered up their things and prepared for the trip home.
Lenny and Pam Brewer were saddened as the Brewer family said their good-byes and headed back to Fargo. They are in high hopes that they will return for another visit as soon as possible.
