It's a slow day for NewsMuse. The Cable Guys are here in our backyard burying the cable that has been perching above ground since last fall. It wasn't possible to bury it anytime between the first snow fall in October and the last snow fall in April! Now they're finally here as there have been many, many others on the list to get done. There's orange and white and green spray paint in stragetic places on our lawn to mark where other utilities are hanging out. It's amazing the wires, cables, pipes, and tubes that are hidden underground and help our household to operate. I tend to think it all happens by magic! Likewise all the switches and cords and plugs that are tucked away in the ceiling, in the walls, and in the floors inside the house. Kind of like my body--everything on the inside I take for granted that it's somehow just going to work how and when I want it to!
