Sunday evening dinner guests at the Lenny Brewer home were Mr. and Mrs. Darrel
Loftesnes and Mrs. Lucille
Loftesnes. Mr. Brewer prepared ribs on his charcoal grill. Mrs. Brewer made beans and Lucille and Teresa brought cold salads to pass. The ribs were declared a success and were enjoyed by all. We heard from Mr.
Loftesnes about his close call with a horse this past week. He was in his barn cleaning a stall when a horse decided to knock him over and kick him in the back of the head. He doesn't have clear recall of the exact events after that. He does remember calling his wife at work and walking over to the church, which is next door to their house. Luckily, there were some men working in the basement. They took one look at Mr.
Loftesnes and quickly hauled him to the hospital in Minot where he was examined and had his head stapled back together. The news travelled fast and many well-wishers have phoned to check on him. He is happy to say that, besides a sore scalp and bruised confidence, he's recovering well.
