The News from Whispering Pines

Memorial Day guests at the Lucille Loftesnes farm were Mrs. Ardy Stevens, Mr. and Mrs. Darrel Loftesnes and daughter, Whitney, annd Mr. and Mrs. Brewer. Lucille served up a delicious meal of dishes with a South American flare in honor of Whitney who will be leaving on Friday to study for a month in Peru. Corn on the cob in June was a treat, indeed. Rhubarb cobbler was brought for dessert by Mrs. Stevens and served with a dallop of whipped cream. Wines enjoyed with the meal were Pinot Grigio and White Zinfandel. After a pleasant meal, the men excused themselves to go to the garage, while the ladies cleaned up the dishes.
