On Sunday evening Mr. and Mrs. L.B. Brewer autoed out to the the Darrel Loftesnes farm for supper. It being a delightful spring evening, Mrs. Darrel Loftesnes set a lovely table on the porch. Besides Mr. and Mrs. Brewer, in attendance were Mrs. A.C. Loftesnes, Miss Whitney Loftesnes and friend, Mr. Eli Malijek. For an appetizer, pheasant pieces were dipped in a beer batter and deep-fried. Served with a wasabi sauce, these were scrumptious. Mr. Loftesnes served up his specialty liquid refreshment recipe, Old Fashioned's. Mr. and Mrs. Loftesnes grilled hamburgers on the barbecue grill. Mrs. Loftesnes toasted her buns to perfection.
Mrs. Brewer carried in a cream corn casserole to add to the table. Everyone was very satisfied with this nice spring supper.
Afterwards, the young people played basketball while the men visited on the porch. The ladies cleaned up the dishes and retired to the front room for some light gossip. An enjoyable evening was had by all.
